I just started playing pokemon sapphire version. I get all the way to Rustboro, but my torchic (The pokemon I decided to get) is really bad at defeating Roxanne's rock pokemon. Please help me decide?
Ignore him. you can't fish quite yet. your best option at this point is to catch a Lotad on route 102, and train it. Lotad is both a Water and Grass type pokemon, both Roxanne is weak to. Try not to use Bug types, because they are weak to rock. It might not be too bad of an idea to catch a Ralts on route 102 as well, because it is neither weak nor resistant to rock, and vice versa.
